An enlarged edition of "The Alexandria controversy, or, A series of letters" between Roger Baxter and W.H. Wilmer, published in Georgetown, D.C., 1817. The letters of Baxter appeared originally in the Alexandria gazette, and those of Wilmer in the Alexandria herald. cf. J.M. Finotti, Bibliographia catholica americana, 1872.
The notes (by G.E. Ironside) published in the 1817 edition are omitted in the present edition.
