- Two impressions noted. In this impression the gatherings are signed 1-3⁴ [4]², and the "Fourth annual report of the Massachusetts Society for the Suppression of Intemperance" appears on p. [20]-28. In the other (Shaw & Shoemaker 36756), the gatherings are signed 1-2⁶ 3², and the fourth annual report appears on p. [19]-28. Four paragraphs in Appleton's address on p. 13-18 occur in different settings of type.
