- "Authorship is acknowledged by Charles Caldwell in his 'Catalogue of the published writings ...' (written, as he states, partly from memory) appended to his Autogiography, Philadelphia, 1855. It is listed on p. 430 under the date 1805, which appears to be erroneous. ... Some of these suggestions were incorporated in the Act for establishing an health office passed April 1, 1803.
