Summary:
The African lion is a study of the lion and his domain. Portrays the living conditions of the lion and his family which is ruled by the lioness. Also presents facts about the antelope, zebra, rhinoceros, giraffe, and wild dog. Jungle cat is a study in the life of the jaguar of Brazil in its natural setting, the jungle. Bear country is a photographic study of the American black bear and his home in the Rocky Mountains. Describes the animal's feeding habits, its lengthy hibernation, and its desire for comfort. Includes scenes of the disciplining of cubs, the mother's desertion of her offspring after two years, and a battle between male bears at mating season. The Olympic elk is a photographic study of this elk which abound on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Describes the life of the herd in winter quarters in the rain forest, the trek to summer feeding grounds, and the placid summer existence of the herd which culminates in the September mating season.
