Act of the Ohio General Assembly appointing Samuel Finley and eight others commissioners of a lottery to raise $12,250 to repair and secure the bank of the Scioto River. Signed: Abraham Shepherd, speaker of the House of Representatives. Thomas Kirker, speaker of the Senate. January 27th, 1807.
Followed by "An act to amend the act, entitled, 'An act for raising, by way of lottery, money to repair and secure the bank of the Scioto ...'" signed by Shepherd and Kirker, and dated January 28th, 1807, and "Ten thousand dollars may be had for five dollars, in the Scioto Bank Lottery. ... First class. ..." signed by Samuel Finley and eight others, and dated Chillicothe, January 29th, 1807.
