Includes proceedings of a "meeting of the citizens of Smith County, at the court-house, in Carthage, on the 27th day of June, 1807" and a copy of a letter from Lyon to President Jefferson, dated "Smith County, (Tennessee) January 16, 1807" answering charges levelled against Lyon that he was a partisan of Aaron Burr in his conspiracy to subvert the union of the states.
Dated: Nashville, July 2.
Thomas Eastin was the only printer active at Nashville in 1807.
