Letter "To the editor of the Albany register," dated Clermont, 21st Feb. 1807, signed by Robert R. Livingston, followed by a reply to Livingston from the editor, concerning a rumor that Livingston had been proposed "for the next president, in opposition to Mr. Jefferson."
John Barber was printer and publisher, and presumably also the editor, of the Albany register in 1807.
