Notes:
The calculations and notes on the calendar pages are identical in part with those in Houghton's genuine almanack for 1809, "astronomical part by Asa Houghton," (Shaw & Shoemaker 15268), and in part vary slightly. The notes on "Curious phenomena" following the eclipse predictions (p. [2]), though much shorter in Thomas's than in Houghton's, appear to be by the same hand.
The almanac is possibly the joint work of Houghton and Gilbert Graves. See notes on the bibliographic record for the 1807 issue of Thomas's, as well as entries under Houghton and Graves.
Advertised in the Massachusetts spy, Worcester, Nov. 9, 1808.
