- Notes:
- Apparently calculated by Abraham Shoemaker, whose Philadelphia almanacs for this year, Carey's Franklin and Bioren's Town and Country, may be compared. The eclipse page is worded identically with these, including the reference to Whale Island. The astronomical notes on the calendar pages are practically identical, except that the Farmer's almanack adds clock equations, and gives an occasional figure for the sun's declination instead of a separate daily table. Most of the calculations, which are far fewer in this New York almanac, vary slightly because of the difference in meridian.
