Metal-engraved illustrations of common objects printed on sheets with printed text. Text consists of numbered descriptions corresponding to the illustrations. According to Welch, the plates, numbered I-XVIII, are reprints of plates XIX-XXXV in A mother's remarks on a set of cuts (Philadelphia, 1803). The plates originally appeared in the London issue, Mrs. Lovechild's book of three hundred & thirty-six cuts.
