Summary:
It's the 1950s. Richie Benyo, Michael "Catfish" Gavornik, and their friends, have banded together to form the South Street Gang. South Street "gangster" turned raconteur, Richard Benyo, makes that 1950's world come alive with Marvel Comics, baseball cards, Golden Books, BB guns, cardboard forts, Pall Malls, Euro-ethnic neighborhoods, Sr. Mary Friedeberta of the Sisters of Christian Charity, that first sip of beer with Pistol Pete, Richie's grandpa, and one hilarious antic after another. Meanwhile, the Sisters say that the Soviets might launch a nuclear attack at any moment so they'd best hide under their desks. What a terrific time to be a kid!
