Biography/History:
The recipient of the letter is presumably Malet Wilmot Vaughan (ca. 1675-1709), the wife of John Vaughan of Trawsgoed, first Viscount Lisburne (ca. 1670-1721). She married the viscount in 1692, and died in 1708 or 9. Therefore, if she was the recipient, the letter must have been written to her between 1692 and 1708 or 9.
Summary:
Includes both the letter and a typed transcript of its contents (which consist mainly of local news and gossip). The letter is addressed to "Lady Lisburne att her house att Troscod in Cardiganshire."
