Layout: Written in two columns of 40 lines, ruled in drypoint or lead.

Script: Written in a Gothic hybrid script.

Watermark: Tower variation from sometime in the mid-15th century (f.7), with similarities to Briquet Tour 15908 (1449) and Tour 15913 (1469); watermark similar to Briquet Main 11146 (1481) (f.137); Briquet Anneau 689 (1457) (f.181); two variations (f.252, 254) of a watermark which combines Briquet Anneau, Main, and Fleur (cf. Briquet Main 11515 (1469)).

Decoration: 23-line initial with pen flourishing (f.1r).

Binding: Contemporary blind-stamped calf over wooden boards (Zacour-Hirsch) with metals studs on upper and lower cover, and leather straps; possibly red morocco binding (Witten).

Origin: Likely written in southeastern Germany in the mid-15th century.
