- Script: Written in a Gothic cursive book script.
- Watermark: Likely a slightly earlier variant of Briquet Char 3527 (1412).
- Decoration: Manicules (f. 9v, 10r, 12r, 31v, 37r, 80v, 104r, 158r, 169r, 189r, 204r, 205r-206r, 229r, 230r, 258r); some underlining in red and brown ink; initials in red (f.1r); some decorated ascenders (for example, f. 150r); sketch of a face in profile (f. 293r).
- Binding: Contemporary half leather over wooden boards, with brass catches (clasps missing) (Zacour-Hirsch); upper cover has pastedown paper; lower cover has pastedown parchment with neumes from a gradual (probably Aquitaine) with decoration from southern France.
