- When, in the 18th century, the Russian czar took to conquer the Caucasus there was very strong resistance in Chechenia and Dagestan. After proclaiming jihad, those countries succeeded in establishing a Muslim political stystem for three decades (1829-1859). The author of this book analyses the development and structures of jihad and imamah, their roots and bases. For this task he uses all literary sources, especially those passed down by Caucasian Muslims. German text.
