Local Notes:
Gift Book Collection copy has has two inscriptions, in different hands, to Anna Meyer: the first, in ink reads: "presented to Maria Earl by her friend J.B.L.; "the second, in pencil, reads: "Maria Earl, memento of friendship, from J.B.L., January 1st 1836."
RBC copy has 1 leaf of ms. letter addressed to "Mr. Clapp", inserted following p. vi, erroneously identifying this work as including the 1st printing of Poe's Manuscript in a bottle.
RBC copy has the autographs, in pencil, of Amanda M. Boker and William G. Boker.
Culture Class Collection copy inscribed of Mlle. Sophie.
