"This book was comissioned by The Friends of the Print Collection of The Free Library of Philadelphia for Bound/Unbound, the 7th annual Robert F. Looney Memorial Event. Nos. 1-35 were bound by staff from the Collection Care Department of the Library and reserved for patrons of the event. Susan Viguers wrote the text, drawing on several collections, most importantly, The Fables of Aesop by Joseph Jacobs (London, 1894). James Engelbart created the images, using polymer plates and stencils. Both designed, printed and bound the book. Text and image were letterpress printed on a Vandercook Press at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA ... This is a co-production of Shandy Press and Snout Press."--Colophon.
