Summary:

The Elite Private Tomb of Akhethetep from Saqqara can now be found in the Louvre, and was acquired from the Egyptian Antiquities Service in 1903. Only the decorated chapel was dissembled and transported to Paris, and no documents of the tomb's location in Saqqara were kept. The study of the mastaba presented in this volume commenced in 1991 and is the first volume in a series dedicated to the French excavations at Saqqara. French text.
