- Summary:
- Follows anthropologist Napoleon Chagnon as he collects anthropological field data (over 36 months spead over 8 years) among the Yanomamo Indians of southern Venezuela. It is both an examination of Yanomamo culture, and the "functional prerequisites" of culture, including demography, territory/technology, social organization, language and ideology.
