Penn Libraries copy previously owned by Julian Fontana, editor of Chopin's posthumous works and his close friend, with Fontana's ms. annotations and rebuttals. The half-title has been altered to read: Très grande fantaisie, sur F. Chopin, par F. Liszt. The t.p. has been altered to read: Pot pourri sur des motifs de F. Chopin composé par F. Liszt. Fontana had the volume bound with the spine title: Chopin lisztifié. Fontana annotated through p. 17 and the errata leaf only; most other gatherings are unopened. This copy later owned by French writer, Christine Arnothy, with her limited edition bookplate (no. 136 of 200), signed by the engraver, pasted to front free endpaper.
