- Focuses on the life of Liu Pi-Chia, a Taiwanese farmer and subject of the first Taiwanese observational documentary in 1965. Shows his life in the farming village he helped create as part of a land reclamation team, and the social and economic conditions of the Taiwanese, while touching on the issues of national and ethnic identity.
