Materials related to rehearsal and performance of the play, including a published copy (Berlin: Eduard Bloch, n.d.), whiich has been annotated as a prompt-book; and 4 role books for the following parts (the complete character list): der Minister; Jeremias Ehregott Knabe; Jean, Diener; and die Gouvernante. The published copy is the second edition of Eduard Bloch's Theater-Korrespondenz Nr. 69, and is accompanied by the original envelope from the publisher; it may date from the 1870s. The published copy, as well as 3 of the role books, are labeled as the property of Theodor Bloch, who ran a theater lending library in Philadelphia from around 1880 to the mid 1890s. On three of the role books the names of the actors and actress playing the roles are noted on the front. (The collection's holdings of theater newspapers and playbills contain no reference to this play.)
