- Summary:
- The play by Deinhardstein was first published in 1823. The file contains handwritten materials related to rehearsal and performance of the play, including a scenario (with an overview of action, notes on set, and notes on costume) and 4 role books, accompanied by a paper sleeve that originally held the materials together. The sleeve, which is labeled with the title of the play and the author's last name, is secured with a red wax seal. The role books are for the following parts: Salvator Rosa, Ravienna, Calmari, and Laura. The role book for Ravienna seems to be dated on the front cover "Peruz 1837" ("Peruz" might possibly refer to the locality in Bohemia known in Czech as Peruc and in German as Perutz), and also bears some notes under the heading "1. Akt" and "2. Akt" that apparently pertain to costume. The sheet on which the scenario is written also bears notes about set and costume for a play entitled "Die Vertrauten," presumably the play of that title by Adolph Müllner. (The collection's holdings of theater newspapers and playbills, which date from a later period, contain no references to either of these plays.)
