Discussion of the painting Matrimonio de García de Loyola con Ñusta Beatriz in the larger context of Spanish colonial painting and Andean scholarship. Located inside La Transfiguración (today La Compañia), the seventeenth-century Jesuit church in Cuzco, Peru, the painting formed a part of the church's painted visual narrative of the Jesuit Order and the cycle of the Vida de San Ignacio (Life of Saint Ignatius).
