Added engraved pictorial title (signed "Tho: Cross sculpsit"): The mariners magazine or Sturmys mathematicall and practicall arts ... By Cap: Samuell Sturmy 1679. The date (that of the 2nd ed.) is visibly altered from 1669 (1st ed.).
"A constant kalendar: or an almanack", "Sturmy's mathematical and practical arts. The fifth book", "The mariner's magazine ... The seventh book", "A compendium of fortification" (by Philip Staynred), "Canon triangulorum logarithmicus", and "Chiliades decem logarithmorum" have special title pages, all dated 1683 except the "Chiliades" dated 1684, and all with imprint of Mary Clark except "A constant kalendar", which names no printer or bookseller.
Error in pagination: 159 (first count) misnumbered 157.
Engraved plates include portrait of Sturmy dated 1669, engraved title, and three volvelles. Illustrations in the text include both woodcuts and engravings.
Advertisements on leaves c4v and 3Y4v.
