Notes:
A ḳetubah given by the bridegroom Japheth ben Nissim to Sitt al-Dar daughter of R. Isaac. The document is cut off after seven lines (including the common blessings on the top line). The date, place and names are extant, as is the initial sum- 12 and one half zuz, and 5 dinar.
Verso written with a dull reed; verse endings inconsistently denoted with a sof pasuḳ.

The missing lower half of the document (8 lines) is found in Cambridge, TS 20.124. There we find the dowry of 20 dinar, and the signature of Abraham ben Shabetai. Listed in the index of Ketubot in S.D. Goitein, A Mediterranean Society, vol. III, p. 397 no. 45.

After the document was cut, the verso was used by a later hand, on what was now the length of the page, for a poetic eulogy, in Wafir meter of 17 monorhymed verses (in ים-`), in honor of R. Daniel (b. ʻAzariah) Gaon, possibly composed soon after his death in 1062. Published with notes and introduction by Halper, Jewish Quarterly Review, N.S. v. 10 (1920), p. 415-420..
