- Presents a photographic history of Jewish life in Poland in the 1920s and 1930s. Includes historic footage and stills and voice-over recollections as visuals document Polish Jews' patriotism in World War I, the postwar surge in anti-Semitism, the vitality of the Yiddish theater, the political activism of Jewish youth in the 1930s, the disastrous determination of most of Poland's Jews to weather the Nazi storm, and Germany's invasion in 1939.
