- Summary:
- Set in Benares (Varanasi) India, this film is about the owner of a statuette of Ganesh (the elephant god) being mystified when he receives an offer to purchase the figurine for a price exceeding what would seem to be its reasonable value on the art market, on grounds of why such an object would be desirable. Soon afterwards, the statuette is stolen, but a detective and his assistant, with help from a writer of children's novels, attempt to unravel the mystery. A reading of a work entitled Tintin in the Congo, among other things, turns out to be a great help to them.
