- Summary:
- Neurologic disorders can be extremely difficult to diagnose, perhaps more so than in any other medical specialty. As a consequence the trainee neurologist must invest a great deal of time and effort into learning the art of diagnosis. Neurologic Examination is the ideal text to use. Neurologic Examination is an illustrated guide to all aspects of the neurologic exam. The book reemphasizes the usefulness of the exam in localizing lesions in the central and peripheral nervous system from which differential diagnoses are derived. The examination of the brachial plexus, cervical plexus, chronic regional pain patients is demonstrated which is not found in other manuals of neurological examination. Neurologic Examination has retained Professor Bickerstaff's method of muscle and reflex examination. The use of drifts, the arm roll and parietal copy are reintroduced to clinical neurology.
