- Summary:
- Reporters: Depardon retraces his first professional steps at the heart of Agence Gamma; his camera follows the activities of photojournalists for a month, particularly two journalists, Francis Apesteguy and Marc Bulka, from political and campaign journalism to entertainment news.
- 10 minutes de silence pour John Lennon: December 14 1980, Central Park, New York, young Americans gather, stoic, to honor the assassinated former Beatle singer.
- Faits divers: realistic documentary covers the daily and nightly activities of the police in the Fifth Arrondissement of Paris during the summer of 1982 from reporting of crimes including assault, theft, suicide.
- New York, N.Y.: Depardon filmed four minutes each day during two months in New York, and assembles an unconventional cinematographic portrait of the city.
- Urgences: realistic documentary covers the psychiatric emergency service of the Hôtel-Dieu de Paris, including the suffering and drama of real individuals: a repeat alcoholic who escapes once he has been questioned, a bus driver who breaks down and refuses to drive his bus to prevent injuring his passengers, a woman who breaks a window at a bar because the owner hit a dog with his hand, a depressed elderly man, etc.
- Délits flagrants: documents the French criminal justice system by tracing individual cases filmed between November 1993 and January 1994, from the arrival at the Préfecture to interview with the defense lawyer.
