- Summary:
- Although women have been making films as long as men, their contribution has been largely ignored. This documentary attempts to correct that oversight by tracing the careers of such filmmakers as Alice Guy Blache, Ida Lupino, Ruth Ann Baldwin, Leni Riefenstahl, Lois Weber, and many more. Included are rare clips from their films, and the film's score was composed and played by a variety of all-women jazz orchestras of the era.
