- "Set in the '60's and weaving together such themes as violence as an everyday occurence, insanity, and infidelity, the story focuses on Jake Horner, a young college teacher so scared of his own capacity for violence that he winds up in the care of the bizarre Doctor D. The doctor's treatment is to 'do your own thing', which leads Horner into an affair with the wife of a colleague.
