- Hans Moldenhauer (1906-1987) was an American musicologist of German birth, who had emigrated to the U.S. in 1938. He founded the Spokane Conservatory in 1942. In the 1960s he was on the faculty of the University of Washington, Seattle, and initiated there the Moldenhauer Music Archives.
