An advertisement for Sir Balthazar Gerbier's academy, which "was to give instructions in all manner of subjects, from philosophy, languages, and mathematics, to riding the 'great horse', dancing and fencing. It was opened on 19 July 1649 at Gerbier's house at Bethnal Green"--cf. DNB.
At foot of text: At Robert Ibbitsons House (in Smithfield, neer Hosier Lane) shall be had constantly in Print, the Publique Lectures, after they shall have been first read at the Academy, where they are Composed for the good of the Publique.
