Summary:
The item is a letter of introduction from Clauzel on behalf of Alma Mahler and Franz Werfel, addressed to Henri Pozzi, the ambassador of France in Stamboul (Istanbul), with a second letter enclosed, apparently intended for Count Charles de Chambrun, the French ambassador in Ankara. Clauzel explains that the couple are intending to stay in Stamboul on their way back from Egypt and will need a guide; he asks Pozzi to present them to Chambrun in his name.
