- Summary:
- A late 19th-century copy of Albornoz's late 17th-century grammar of the Chiapanec language, including chapters on orthography, the parts of speech, conjugation, and syntax. Two folded leaves glued to the first blank page following p. 40 contain Berendt's draft copy of the last four chapters.

- Title from title page (f. 3r).
- Albornoz's closing paragraph seems to give the date 1691 for the original manuscript (p. 40).
- Pagination: Paper, vi, [I-V], VI, [1], 2-40, xii; 2 leaves glued in following p. 40; contemporary page numbers in ink, upper outer corners.
- Layout: Written in 30 long lines, with the main text on lined paper.
- Script: In the hand of C. Hermann Berendt.
- Binding: Late 19th-century half leather.
- Origin: Copied in Mérida, Mexico, in 1870.
