Copied by C. Hermann Berendt from a manuscript found by Juan Gavarrete in 1829 among the papers of the Franciscan convent in Guatemala City and found in the "Choronica de la Santa Provincia del Santissimo Nombre de Jesus de Guatemala" (p. [3]).

Summary:
A 19th-century copy of a 17th-century manuscript about the calendar of the Cakchikel Indians, with an introduction about the original manuscript by C. Hermann Berendt, who made the copy. Berendt also compares the Mayan and Aztec calendars and lists the names of the months and days for each. The manuscript text contains the names of each month in the Cakchikel calendar along with their meanings and gives a list of the days with their corresponding dates in the Julian calendar.
