- The Latin and Italian texts and the illustrations are mostly copied from: Veen, Otto van. Amorum emblemata.
- The title page is signed "S Nicholls sculp:", but quires B-L are the same engravings as the other English editions.
- Signatures: [pi]² A-L⁸; only one leaf per quire signed, with the second, fourth and first leaves signed in quires A to C respectively and the second leaf of each quire thereafter.
- A reissue of the plates of the 1714 edition, with an engraved titlepage, and an introductory sonnet.
- Dated books printed for John Wren range between the years 1748 and 1757.
