- Unsigned reports, usually 2 leaves in length, on events in Paris, Versailles, and the Hague, and on political affairs throughout Europe. The reports were folded and mailed individually to the Marquis (or occasionally the Marquise) de Chépy, and the address is visible on some of them.

- Collation: Paper, i (contemporary paper) + 346 + i (contemporary paper); [ii, 1-341, iii]; modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto.
- Script: Written in a cursive script.
- Binding: Contemporary parchment with the arms of de Chépy (Zacour-Hirsch).
- Origin: Written mostly in Paris and the Hague in 1740 and 1741.
