In some copies the missing text from the life of Saints Nicasius and Eutropia (beginning: ventitis) is supplied on an inserted printed leaf. This inserted leaf is variously set in one (e.g. BNF Res. 103, BSB 2 Inc.s.a. 888, PML ChL1071) or two columns (e.g. BN di Torino XV.11.2, Boston PL) and may or may not be contemporary with the rest of the bookblock. (A.K. Frazier dates "two different tipped-in sheets ... designed to correct the lack" of text to the eighteenth century; cf. her Possible lives (New York: Columbia UP, 2005), p. 142, n. 190). Ms. insertions are also recorded in some copies; others record no insertion (cf. BM 15th cent., Bodleian, Walsh). Penn Libraries copy has inserted after leaf 4n3 one leaf containing one full column and one partial column of text on the recto (left column: 45 lines; right column: 22 lines; area of text: 263 x 163 mm.; col. width: 73 mm.). Cf. Goldschmidt.
