- Recounts the history of the Shuaŕ (or Jivaro) people's resistance against the Inca and Spanish Empires and their present efforts to maintain their cultural identity in the face of pressure from Latin American republics to assimilate. Includes sequences showing the yaje ritual, the use of the blow-gun, family life, interviews with Shuaŕ Federation leaders, and a depiction of Shuaŕ history and legends through paintings.
