- Originally issued in ten numbers, a collection of plates engraved by Charles and Isaac Taylor and William Sharp from drawings by Thomas Stothard and Robert Smirke to illustrate 10 plays of Shakespeare.
- Each is individually dated, and accompanied by a leaf bearing a letterpress extract from the play, four numbered plates to each play, all dated between 1783 and 1787.
