- Notes:
- Attributed to Samuel Hall by Evans. Hall is termed the editor and proprietor in Historical collections of the Essex Institute, v. 8, 1866, p. 159.
- Advertised in the Essex gazette, Salem, Nov. 24-Dec. 1, 1772. The astronomical predictions and the other material in the notes column on the calendar pages correspond with that in Samuel Stearns' The North-American's calendar for 1773 (Boston), except that the weather predictions vary, maxims are included, and the conjunctions of planets are absent. The extent of the identity seems to evince a common authorship, though the calculations in the other columns vary, being for Salem rather than Boston.
