Poems on several occasions. : Composed by by William Catton, late a soldier; who served His Majesty fifteen Years in General Folliot's Regiment of Foot; I was 12 Years abroad, in Minorca, France, Flanders, and Scotland; and discharged at the general Reducement, at Berwick upon Tweed, 1748, and as I am not wounded, so I am not provided for, therefore I am most humbly obliged to all Persons of Distinction, that are pleased to accept of my Poems, and encourage my Performances, since having neither Trade or Friend, I am obliged to Write the same for a Maintenance.
