Folk and traditional music and dances of Mexico, particularly the Jalisco region; primarily instrumental. The 1st-3rd tracks music of the Wixarica (Huichol), the 4th-8th tracks matlachines, the 9th-10th dances of 'Conquista,' the 11th-13th traditional rhythms (almost entirely percussion instruments) of the Aztec dance 'Concheros,' the 14th-16th music using the instrument 'chirimia,' the 17th-18th traditional music of the 'sonajeros' of Tuxpan, Jalisco, and the 19th music using prehistoric instruments from the Museo Regional de Guadalajara.
Field recordings by Ernesto Cano Lomelí, supplemented by studio recordings.
