- One of a number of papers produced between 1779 and 1782 by committees of concerned citizens in the counties of York, Surrey, Hertford, Huntingdon, Middlesex, Essex, Kent, Devon, Nottingham and the City of Westminster, assembled to petition Parliament for democratic reform. The Committee of Yorkshire, chaired by Christopher Wyvill, seems to have taken a leadership role in this activity. The collected papers were published by Wyvill as: 'Political papers ..', York, 1794-1802.
