Giovanni Paolo Marana's single volume of L'Esploratore turco .. ' was originally published in Paris in 1684 and appeared in English as 'Letters writ by a Turkish spy'; its volumes 2-8 have been variously attributed, but were probably edited by Robert Midgley from William Bradshaw's translation of the original Italian MS.
