A bill to provide for organizing, arming and disciplining the militia of the United States. : Reported in pursuance of the following resolution: in the House of Representatives, of the United States, Monday, the 27th of November, 1797. On motion, resolved, that a committee be appointed to report whether any, and what amendments are, in their opinion, necessary to the Act for establishing an uniform militia throughout the United States; and that they be authorized to report by bill, or otherwise. Ordered, that Mr. Williams (N.Y.) Mr. Morgan, Mr. Shepard, Mr. Locke, and Mr. Thompson, be a committee pursuant to the said resolution. : January 1st, 1798. Committed to a committee of the whole House on Monday next.
