Notes:
"Abraham Hutchins" is a pseudonym intended to exploit the popular reputation of the New York state calculator John Nathan Hutchins.
The actual author was Andrew Beers. The ephemeris, the eclipse predictions, and the calculations for the rising, setting, and phases of the moon are identical throughout with those in his Beers's almanac and ephemeris for 1796, published at Hartford. The calculations for the sun vary because of the difference in meridian between New York and Hartford. Nearly all the astronomical notes in the third column of the Hartford almanac are duplicated here. Those in the eighth column are omitted.
The Anatomy is the only illustration.
