Recounting Bunn's experiences until his arrival in Detroit in 1792. His subsequent adventures are described in "A short narrative of the life and sufferings of Matthew Bunn, after his arrival at the British garrison at Detroit ..." (Evans 31890).
Ascribed to the press of Bennett Wheeler and dated 1796 by Alden. A notice on the verso of the title page is dated December 10, 1795.
